Gabriel Brecher

Mr. Brecher is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Strategic Value Partners.

Prior to joining the firm in May of 2023, Mr. Brecher was most recently Deputy General Counsel at Millennium Management LLC and had previously served in senior legal and compliance roles at other investment firms. He began his career as an associate in the Corporate group at McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, where he focused primarily on private M&A transactions. 

Mr. Brecher received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2004, and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Psychology.
