Lewis Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz oversees the financial operations of the firm.

Prior to rejoining Strategic Value Partners, Mr. Schwartz spent eight years as the Chief Operating Officer at Contrarian Capital Management, responsible for all non-investment functions. From 2005 to 2014, Mr. Schwartz served as Chief Financial Officer of Strategic Value Partners. From 2001 to 2005, he served as the Controller for Resurgence Asset Management. Prior to that, Mr. Schwartz worked at American Express Tax and Business Services, where he was a Senior Auditor performing audits and tax compliance for hedge funds and private equity vehicles.

Mr. Schwartz received a BBA with a focus in Accounting from Pace University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
